Patato Nugget I think all time favourite for everyone…it is a perfect party started recipe.All just grab this…today I show you a healthy way of making patato nugget.Instead of make the coating with bread crumb…today we prepare the cornflakes crumb…you can make with oats also.As I am run out of my homemade bread crumb I thought why not try this with cornflakes one…so lets get started

Preparation Time 20 min
Frying Time 5 min per batch
Serving Persons 4
Ingredients Required
4 medium potatoes boiled
½ cup grated cheese
2 tsp mixed herbs(I used parsley,thymes and oregano)
2 tsp red chili flakes(homemade)
½ tsp black pepper powder
¼ cup bread crumbs(homemade)
1 cup cornflakes(grind to a rough powder)
½ cup cornflour
2 tbsp water
salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
Procedure
Peel the potatoes and grate it.
Add mixed herbs,red chili flakes,cheese,salt,bread crumb and 2 tbsp cornflour to the poataotes and mix it well.
Keep this in fridge for 15 min…so that the dough s little firm.
Make a thin slurry of cornflour,salt ,black pepper and water.
Now apply oil on hands and take a lemon size protion and make a cylindrical shape nugget.
In this way make all potato dumplings from rest of dough.
Now dip the potato dumplings in slurry one by one.
Then strain the escess slrry and place on cornflakes powder.
Roll it so that the cornflakes powderis well coated on each dupling.
Keep the potato nuggets in the fridge sor 30 in so that the coating is well stick on nugget.
Heat oilf or deep frying and in low to medium flame deep fry the nuggets till it turns into golden colour.
Serve hot with ketchup…
Notes
You can add different veggies like carrot,capsicum,onion to make it more nutritious.
If making for kids avoid chili flakes.
You can shallowfry this in appe pan or on tava.
By keeping the dough for some time in fridge…hardens the dough.
Befor frying also keep the nuggets for sometime in fridge so the coating is well stick to the nugget and soaks the moisture also…in this way in bulk you can make for party.
You can use oregano also or our Indian kasuri methi…if done have mixed herb,it enhances the flavour.
I make the cornflakes mixture little rough type,so that we get a crunchy texture on the outerside.
