Maka Masala is nothing but sweet corn masala…one of my favt.Believe me friends…you don’t neecd anything…Only this n rice…mix the masala with hot steamed rice and relish it.Sometimes I prepare this for early dinner…we just enjoyed it.

We have one whatsapp cooking roup,there my friend Sangeeta uploaded this recipe then it reminds me from long time I dint prepare it…so why not make a video and show to my lovely viewers.Thanks dear f or reminding me the recipe.So lets get started

Serving Persons 3 to 4

Ingredients

1 sweet corn cob cut into 2 inch pieces

1 medium onion cubes

2 medium tomatoes cubes

1 big garlic clove chopped

1/2 inch ginger cube

2 green chili

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp kashmiri red  chili powder

1/2 tsp cumin seeds,
2 tbsp water

1 tbsp mustard oil

1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Salt to taste

Procedure
 Peel out the cover n hair of sweet corn cob…then cut into 2 inch pieces.
Now heat half oil,add all veggies with ginger,garlic n green chili.
Saute these till it is half cooked in med to high flame.
Make it cool down and grind to a smooth puree.
Then in the same pan,heat rest oil,add cumin seeds.
When it start splutter,add the puree.
Let it cook till oil separates,add all the spice powder.
Cook these for some time,then add corn pieces with little water.
Pressure cook it till one siti…
Let the pressure goes out automatically, add chopped coriander leaves and mix it well.
Serve hot with hot steaming rice…

Notes

You can finely chop onion n tomatoes and make the masala also…I feel by grindind the masala is well coated on corn.
Give one siti only and it will be enough for sweet corn.
Add little water so that the masal will not get burnt due to pressure cook.
I add kashmiri red chili powder for colour n less spicy…if you like spicy add red chili powder.
I prefer mustard oil for its pungent flavour…but you can use normal cooking oil.
