Baby corn Manchurian dry recipe/घर पर बनाये रेस्टोरेंट जैसे बेबी कॉर्न मंचूरियन/roshniscuisine


Few dayz back one of my cousin brother commented in one of my recipe…di please prepare some special dish for me.And as we are staying out of India…so I told him the next recipe I do…I will dedicate that recipe to you.So this yummy recipe is dedicated to Badal…hope he likes it.Babycorn Manchurian is all time favourite recipe and hit item in parties…so lets get started
in our home generally we prefer dry Manchurian,but if you want gravy version just add cornflour slurry to this…and it is ready.

Cooking Time 12- 15 min
Serving Persons 4


10 -12 babycorn cut into halves
If big size cut into diagonal shape or 3 pieces
1 medium onion  cut into thick slices

1/4 cup red capsicum cut into cubes

1/4 cup yellow capsicum cut into cubes

1/4 cup green capsicum cut into cubes

3-4 spring onion stalks chopped

3-5 green chili chopped

1 tsp chopped ginger

2 tsp chopped garlic
1/3 cup corn flour

1/4 cup rice flour

2 tbsp maida

1/4 tsp china salt

1 tsp black pepper powder

1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder

a pinch of red food colour(optional)

1 tsp soya sauce

3 tbsp tomato sauce

3 tbsp red chili sauce

2 tbsp oil

Salt to taste

OIL to deep fry


Parboil the babycorn pieces in salt water.
Now add all the flours,black pepper powder,kashmiri red chili powder and salt to the babycorns.
Finally add tomato sauce and chili sauce to this.
I have added a pinch of food colour to this also.
Mix it well so that all babycorn get a thick layer of coating.
In this way when we fry these,babycorn will be more crispy.
Meanwhile heat oil for deep frying.
In medium to high flame,deep fry the babycorn till it gets crispy.
Remove to an absorbent paper so that excess oil canbe removed.
In a wok,heat oil.
Add chopped green chili,ginger and garlic and sauté for few seconds.
Add onion with little salt so that it is cooked faster.
Now add the tri colour capsicum…and sauté in high flame.
Add all the sauces to this,china salt,black pepper powder,salt to this.
Mix it well,sauté in high flame for 2 to 3 min.
Now add the spring onion both white and green part,mix it.
Add the fried babycorn and sauté this for some time.

Serve hot…as a party starter


I added little rice flour also to the batter to make the coating more crispy.
The babycorn should well coated with the flour mixture.
Sauté the vegetables in high flame,so that it si half cooked and retains its crunchyness.
Prepare the indo Chinese item in a wok or broad pan,so that it is easy to cook and mix the sauces.
Add little salt to veggie mixture as sauce has also salt.
