Badi Chura tastes awesome with Pakhala(Odia Staple Food).Badi is nothing but sun dried lentil dumplings…can be stored for many dayz.It is so simple and quick to prepare,crunchy,yummy in taste.My husband just loves this….so lets get started

Preparation Time 5 min
Cooking Time 5min
Serving Persons 3 to 4

Ingredients

1 cup badis
2 big garlic cloves chopped
1 medium onion chopped
2 green chili chopped
Salt to taste
Mustard oil for shallow fry the badis

Procedure

Shallow fry the badis in oil till it turns into golden colour.
I have taken my mortar pestle which I used to make fresh gignger-galric paste.
I make a coarse paste of onion,green chili and garlic.
Then taken the fried badis and just crush it to bring to big chunks.
Add this onion,garlic,chili paste to badi chunks with salt and mix it well.(forgot to add in video,later when tasted got to know and add salt)
Enjoy this crispy badi chura with pakhala.

Notes

Don’t use mixer grinder as it will be powder type and soft ,as I don’t have silbata I used this mortar pestle(hemadasta).
If you don’t like the flavour of mustard oil,you just shallow fry in normal cooking oil and then add two drops of mustard oil to this.
You can deep fry also but for healthy version I shallow fry.
