No no I dont have any sizzler plate but I have given this name because when I am preparing this dish it gives a sizzler sound
Sarthika unlike other kids does not like bhindi strange…but she loves to have karela it sounds more strange na what to do kids a re like this only…
But believe me friends when I was taking the pics of this recipe she just ran to kitchen 3 to 4 times…what i saw she was picking one bhindi n have it…it brought a smile to my face finally bhindi goes to my daughters tummy happily with her permission ha ha ha
For this recipe the lengthy process is only to stuff the bhindi…rest part is easy…but this stuffing only makes the bhindi tastier

250 gm bhindi
4 tbsp sambaar powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
1 tsp red chili powder
salt to taste
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 large onion thinly sliced
1 medium tomato cut into big cubes
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp+1 tsp oil
Sesame seeds for garnishing
Wash the bhindis and dry it properly otherwise when u make it will be sticky
Cut from both ends of bhindi,now slit in between.
In a bowl mix all masalas n add 1 tsp oil to this so that masala will easily stuffed in the bhindi.
Fill the stuffing generous amount in each bhindi with a help of spoon or using hand…what make u comfortable and easy.
Now keep all stuffed bhindis in a bowl n steam it for 10 to 15 min,so that it becomes tender.
Meanwhile take a fry pan n heat rest oil.
Add mustard seeds n cumin seeds, when it start splutter add chopped garlic…saute till it turns little golden colour.
Now add sliced onion with sugar n pinch of salt.
Due to sugar it start caramelizing n salt makes onion fast cook.
Meanwhile check the bhindi whether it is half cooked or not.
Now ad stuffed bhindis to this n in high flame saute it for 3 to 5 min.
Now make the flame low n cover the lid so that bhndis are well cooked.
Finally add cubed tomatoes to this and saute for maximun one minute.
Garnish with sesame seeds n serve hot with roti,naan or even if with pulao
Instead of sambaar powderu can stuff any other masala like coriander,cumin powder,garam masala added with amchoor powder
U can microwave the bhindis for 5 to 8 min instead of steaming
As I dont have microwave I used steaming process
