This recipeI learnt from my majhli jethani…it’s her favurite recipe. She loves to have this with rice or as it is…I regularly prepare this type of recipe with veggies but never tried with capsicum, When I tasted it , it’s super yummy. She prepared this our during our Odisha visit .So this tasty recipe is dedicated to her…lets get started
You can stuff with potato,cheese wven if with egg…I prepared this simple way. So named this as capsicum rings…
Here I share my friend Komal tip on how to choose capsicum, if it has 3 parts(points) it is male capsicum n if it has 4 parts(points) it is female capsicum which is more sweeter in taste n male one is more peppery in taste…so the female capsicum mostly used in salads…so according your taste bud you use.
Preparation Time 10 min
Cooking Time 6 to 8 min
Serving Persons 3 to 4
2 medium capsicum cut into roundels(remove the seed)
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp sesame seeds
2 tbsp rice flour
2 tbsp water
1 tbsp oil
Salt to taste
Cut the capsicum into thick roundels (discard the seed part)
Add all rest ingredients to this except oil n water, mix well.
Now add water little by little so that the rice flour mixture is well coated on capsicum roundels.
Heat tava for shallow fry the capsicum.
Spread half of oil on tava and place the capsicum rings one by one in high flame.
After some time reduce the flame to low and cover the lid.
Let it cook from one side till it gets crispy n turns into golden colour .
Remove the lid and flip all capsicum slices and pour rest oil and let it cook from other side too.
It cooks quickly.
Serve hot with rice n dal…
By adding rice flour it is crispy and sesame seeds gives a crunchy bite.
Add the water so that the rice flour mixture is well coated with the rings.
