Hi frndz…this is an yummy starter for kitty party…you know my daughter Sarthika doesn’t like mushroom but when I prepare int his way she loves to have…so lets get started with the recipe

Ingredients Required

250 gm button mushroom cut into chunks
½ cup red capsicum cut into bite size
½ cup green capsicum cut into bite size
½ cup red onion cut into bite size
1 tbsp chopped garlic
½ tbsp chopped ginger
3 green chili chopped
½ cup cornflour
¼ cup maida
1 tsp black pepper powder
½  tsp red chili powder
1 tsp kashmiri chili powder
½ tsp red chili flakes
2 tbsp chili sauce
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tsp soya sauce
water to make batter
4 tbsp oil
Salt to taste

Procedure

So first we prepare batter for the mushroom.
So in a big deep bowl,add maida,cornflour,1/2 tsp black pepper power,red chili powder,red chili flakes,kashmiri red chili powder,1 tsp chili sauce and salt.
Add water little by little and make a semithick batter so that the batter is well coated with mushrooms.
Now add the mushroom and mix this well with batter.
Meanwhile heat oil for deep frying.
Dip  the mushrooms one by one into hot oil,make the flame low to medium.
Deep fry these mushroom till it turns to golden in colour and little crispy from outside.
Turn in between so that it is evenly fried.
When it is done,remove to an absorbent paper so excess oil is drained out.
Now the masala preparation time for mushrooms.
Take a wok or an wide broad pan,heat oil.
Make sure that the flame is high.
Add chopped garlic,ginger and green chili and sauté this for 15 to 20 seconds.
Add onion with a  pinch of salt so that it is cooked faster.
Now add coloured capsicum,sauté this for few minutes.
Add all sauces to this n left over spices to this and mix well.
I have added the leftover batter also…so that it is little semithick gravy type consistency.
Now add the fried mushroom and mix it with the sauce mixture.
I add little water as I feel the masala is little dry.
Now its done…I have kept some fried mushroom separately as in our home all like fried mushrooms.
Serve hot…

Notes

You can add the red food colour also to get the colour effect and in this way reduce the spicyness.
When making in large quantity for party just fry the mushroom and make the gravy,just before serving mix the mushroom in gravy and cook in high flame…its ready in just 2 to 3 minutes.
If you feel the batter for mushroom is little thin just add dry cornflour to this and make it thicken up.
While preparing masala,make the flame high as in chinese cooking the veggies are cooked but still it retains its crunchyness so it is advisable to keep the flame high.
