Coming to recipe details

Preparation Time 10 min
Baking Time          30 min
Serving Persons     4 to 6

Dry Ingredients

1 cups APF or maida

1 cup powdered sugar

½  cup coco powder

1 tsp baking powder

½  tsp baking soda

¼  tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

¾  cup milk

¼  cup soya oil

¾  tbsp vinegar

1 tsp vanilla essence

2 tbsp choco chips

Butter Paper

Oil to apply on baking mould

First take all the dry ingredients in a seiver and sieve it .
This is a important point…by sieving we can remove any rough particles.
And in this way all dry ingredients mixed properly so that it helps the cake to rise.
After sieving if you find any big chunks then press it with hands and sieve it.
Finally when you see any rough particles just sieve it…so that our dry flour is completely smooth.
Now in a wide bowl take oil, milk .
Whisk it properly for atleast 3 to 5 min,so that milk and curd well mixed with oil.
It is also an important point…it gives the same texture of egg as we are making eggless cake.
Now add vinegar and vanilla essence and mix it well.
Add half of dry flour with cut and fold method, in this way air bubbles produced to help the cake to fluffy.
Don’t add full dry flour at a time, otherwise it is not mixed properly.
Now add half of choco chips.
Grease the mould and place the butter paper.
Heat the kadai, add salt to this.
Heat the salt for 10 min in med to high flame…it acts as preheat.
Pour the batter on mould, sprinkle rest of choco chips.
Tap the mould so that extra air bubbles gone.
Now bake the cake for 40 to 45 min, carefully remove the lid.
So that the water produced due to steam will not fall down on cake.
Its done now,but I bake it little more as in our home we like little crust on the cake.
Place the mould on cooling rack…and after some time demould it.
Enjoy your cake now with out oven too

Heat the salt…before placing the baking mould on this…it acts as preheat.
Cover the kadai fully so that air cant go inside.
When you remove the cover, til it little otherwise water will fall down on cake due to steaming.
Initially make the flame low then make it to low to medium as it is not getting full heat from upperside as in oven….otherwise it will get burnt from lower side.
Don’t discard the salt…you can use this for next baking or bake the potatoes also.
It takes little more time comparing to oven due to less heat.
If you are using mould which can easily be detached…then no need to use butter paper just spread with oil…it is easily demoulded.
I have this mould but it is not ell fitted to my kadai due to height.
If you are using normal baking tin, just spread oil all over n cut the butter paper according to desired shape and spread oil on butter paper also.
If you don’t have butter paper just spread oil all over the baking tin and dust with dry flour.
