Chole is all time favt dish specially in northern side of India now it is popular not only in whole india only in other countries also.

It can be taken with roti, puri , bhatura , rice also…


1 cup chole

1 medium onion

2 medium tomatoes

2 green chillis

1 inch ginger

1 big garlic cloves

Salt to taste

¼ tsp haldi

2 tsp chole masala

¼ tsp red chili powder

¼ tsp degi mirch powder

Water to make gravy

1 tsp oil

1/8 tsp jeera

5-6 long sliced ginger soaked in water

Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing


Soak chole overnight. Boil it with salt n haldi till 3 sities in Pressure cooker .

Cut onion , tomato, green chilli into big cubes.

Heat ¼ tsp oil n add onion,tomato,green chilli,ginger n garlic. Saute for 2min.

Now make it cool ,add 1 muthi chole with this and grind to a smooth paste.

Heat rest oil , add cumin seeds.

Now add the paste and stir till masala leaves the oil.

Now add all spices and stir for 2 min.

Add chole and water to this.

Boil for 5-7 min till chole absorb the masala flavor.

Now turn off flame and keep the chole for 10 min.

Now garnish with soaked ginger slices n chopped coriander leaves.

Serve hot.
