Chuda Chakuli…means poha uttapam.it is soft,fluffy in texture.This also I learn from my badi jethani…so many recipes I learnt from her…so obviously this one dedicated to her only.AS I mentioned in one of my video we have created a whatsapp foodie group so there one of my friend raaji uploaded poha uttapam that time it strikes to my mind so many dayz I dint prepare this so why not do a video recording and show to my viewers how easy this one to prepare.So lets get started
Preparation Time 10 min
Cooking Time 3 to 4 min per uttapam
Serving Persons 4 to 6
Ingredients
1 cup poha
2 cups rice
1 cup curd
1 tsp methi
Water to grind and adjust the consistency of batter
¼ tsp baking soda
Salt to taste
Oil to make uttapam
Procedure
Wash poha and soak the poha with curd for 1 hour.
Now wash the rice and soak rice,methi with water for 4 hours.
Grind to a smooth paste.
Add water to make like dosa batter ocnsitency.
Keep overnight for fermentation.
Add salt n baking soda to this and mix it well.
Heat the tava and spread some oil.
Carefull pour a ladle full of batter at the center.
Spread it gently and it forms a uttapam shape.
Don’t spread more otherwise it is thin.
Cover the lid and let it cook from lowder isde.
After osme time remove the lid,you can see liht brown colour from the sides of uttapa.
It is cooked fully but if you want to make crispy from both side you flip it and let it cook for some more time.
Serve hot with curry and chutney.
Notes
If you want to make it little crispy you can use 2 cups rice.
If you feel the batter is not fermented properly add a pinch of soda.
Some prefer only one side crispy and the other side soft and some like two sides crispy,so do according to your choice.
You can sprinkle a choice of your veggie like carrot,onion or some podi powder to make it more flavourful.
As it is not fermented like our regular dos abatter so I have added baking soda to get this fluffyness.
