Chur Chur Naan is a famous recipe of North India…I got to know this recipe while browsing some street food channel and saw in VeggiePaaji n Golgappa Girl, it makes me so tempting to prepare in home. When I tried this first time all love this. And this one we prepare without oven or tandoor that to simply on tava how we prepare roti, So lets get started
Preparation Time 10 min
Serving Persons 4
Naan Dough(8 to 10 lemon size dumplings)
3 Boiled Potatoes peeled n mashed
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
2 medium onion cut into chunks
Butter to apply on naan
Oil to spread the naan
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Add salt, garam masala n kashmiri red chili powder to boiled potatoes n mix it well.
Add same to chopped onion and mix it well.
Punch the naan dough, take a lemon size portion of the dough and tuckle it from down so that it is locked.
Now pull it from outside like how we stuff in kachori, and place a big spoon of aloo masala at the center, topped with onion masala.
Now seal it properly fby pulling from outside.
Carefully spread it with the help of hands…so that it is easily spreaded.
Meanwhile heat tava and in high flame only place the naan.
Press it with hands so that it is spreaded more.
Cook little from down side how we cook roti on tava and turn it.
Now cook it full from other side and remove from tava.
Place it on roti holder and cook it in open flame and rotate it continuously so that it is evenly cooked.
Cook it till it is crispy…and apply butter all over.
When it is hot only, crush with both hands so that it is chur chur…that’s why the name is chur chur.
Enjoy your chur chur naan…
If you can’t spread the naan with hand just roll it with rolling pin.
If the naan is sticky while making, dust with some dry flour and roll it.
While stuffing, press the outer part so that the center part will be thick comparing to sides.
When the naan is still hot crush with both hands so that it is easily crushed(I mean chur chur)
