Dal Fry u can have this with naan,phulka,rice….i made this with jeera rice
1 cup tuar dal
1 medium onion chopped
2 medium tomatoes chopped
1 green chili chopped
3 big garlic cloves chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp ghee
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1 red chili whole
2 drops of oil
chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
salt to taste
Soak dal for 30 min.
Then pressure cook it till 3 sitis adding turmeric powder,salt n 2 drops of oil.
Oil is added so that dal cant come out from the pressure cooker.
Mean while heat ghee in a pan,add mustard seeds,red chili n cumin seeds.
When mustard seeds start crackle, add chopped garlic n green chili.
When garlic turns golden color add chopped onion with pinch of salt.
When onion becomes translucent add chopped tomatoes n all spices powder.
Stir it till tomatoes mixed properly with the onion mixture.
Mash the boiled dal n add to the masala.
Add water according to thickness of dal.
Boil it for 4-5 min. Finally add chopped coriander leaves.
Have this with rice or roti items…
