This one I had in my friend Anu home…she prepared it so yummy in our yoga get together.I remembered in one party bymistake I told it is without aloo as it is hara means only green mixture later I remembered aloo is mixed for binding.As one of my friend Raji she is not eating aloo…so all laughed with this incident…such weet memories are attached to this recipe.So lets get started

Recently I have started recipes both in Hindi and Odia both languages for my Non-Odia n Odia Friends…hope it helps all.

Preparation Time 15 to 20 min
Frying Time 5 to 6 min
Serving Persons 4 to 6

Ingredients Required

1 cup palak puree
½ cup boiled green peas paste
½  cup chopped coriander leaves
¼  cup chopped mint leaves
¼ cup chopped capsicum
4 green chili chopped
3 medium potatoes boiled
½  tsp garam masala
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp chaat masala
3 tbsp bread crumbs
1 tbsp besan
2 tbsp cornflour
12-15 cashewnuts to fix on kababs
Salt to taste

Procedure

Peel and mash the potatoes.
Now make a paste of blanched palak,coriander stalk and green peas.
Add this paste,all leafy veggie n capsicum to mashed potatoes and mix it.
Now add all rest ingredients to this except oil and mix it well.
Now take a lemon size portion of the dough and make dumpling…int his way make rest.
Press one half cashewnut on each dumpling.

Keep all the dumplings in the fridge so that the moisture is absorbed and kababs are little dry.
Heat oil and put one by one kababs into hot oil.
Deep fry the kababs in low to medium flame till it turns into golden brown colou and crispy from outside..
As it is already cooked means potatoe are boiled,palak is blanched,so it is fried in less time.
Turn the kababs in between so that these are evenly fried.
When it is done…remove from hot oil and place on an absorbent paper os that excess oil is drained out.
Serve hot…

Notes

You can shallow fry the kababs also for healthy version.
If  you are making for kids avoid green chili or discard the seeds.
You can use dry mango powder,red chili powder  also.
You can use crumbled paneer also for binding.
I have used stalk of coriander leaves as it is more flavourfula n anyway it is grinded so added extra pinch to the recipe.
If you are using fresh green peas just parboil it and then make a paste.
As I have used frozen peas,it is parboiled before so I directly grinded it.
Press the cashews on the kababs little so that when it is fried it will not removed from kabab.
