Instant Vada I Sooji Vada Recipe I Suji Vada in Hindi I roshniscuisine

Vada that to instant yes friends you heard it right.Today we prepare Sooji Vada…no need to soak the dal,grind it…it is quickly prepared with sooji rava.And the shape is also like vada so you can surprise your guest by making these instant vada…thay cant not guess.This one I have taste in my friend Ritika home first time…and I also happily surprised to know this.It is super yummy…thanks Ritika for this tasty recipe.its dedicted to you sweety.So lets get started…

This one I had in her home long time back…may be some variation I made like adding onion.If you are making for pooja you just skip the onion part,you can add soaked chana dal,grated carrot,chopped cabbage instead of onion…in same way I prepared masala medu vada…the link I am sharing below,have a look. Preparation Time 10 min
Soaking Time 30 min
Frying time 3 to 4 min per batch
Serving Persons 4 to 6


1 cup sooji rava

3/4 cup curd

1/4 cup water

1 medium onion chopped

2 green chili chopped

1 inch ginger chopped

1/4 tsp baking soda

a pinch of asafoetida

12-15 curry leaves chopped

2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

salt to taste

OIL to deep fry


Add hing,salt,curry leaves,green chili,ginger to curd,then add this mixture to sooji rava and mix it well.
Then add water to make a semi thick batter like consistency.
Soak this for 30 to 45 min so that sooji rava get swollen.
Now the batter is thick like vada batter consistency.
Add all rest ingredients to this,mix it well.
Heat oil for deep frying.
Wet your hands ,take a portion of vada bateer and make a dumpling shape.
Make a hole in the center to look like a vada and slowly drop into hot oil.
In this way make the rest vada.
Drop the vada in high flame,after some time it floats in oil,then reduce the flame to low to med.
Turn in between so that it is evenly fried.
When it turns into golden brown colour,remove from hot oil.
Place on an absorbent paper so that excess oil is drained out.
Serve hot…


The batter is like vada batter consistency.
If you are beginner in making vada you may face difficulty to make the shape,but with practice it comes perfect.
You can make small dumplings also like pakoda…if this shape can not be prepared.
Soak the rava curd mixture min for 30 min so that the sooi rava get swollen…if you feel the batter is little thick,you can adjust by adding water to it.
Always wet your hands before putting vada,int his way it is easily slipped from hand and droped into hot oil.
