This one I got to know after coming to Jakarta…just love this
2 cups of besan
3 cups of curd
1 medium onion sliced
1 medium onion chopped
5-7 curry leaves
2 green chili slitted
2 green chili chopped
chopped coriander leaves
a pinch of soda
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp black salt
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
salt to taste
OIL for deep frying
coriander leaves n red chili flakes for garnishing
Add 1 cup besan to the curd and mix well,if required add little water.
Now heat oil,add mustard seeds.
When it start crackle,add slitted green chili n curry leaves.
Now add sliced onion with pinch of salt.
When onion turn pinkish color add the curd-besan mixture to this with salt and turmeric powder n let it boil for 25-30 min. In between add water so that the mixture will be medium thick.
Cook till the raw smell of besan goes out…
Meanwhile in another bowl,take rest besan n add all the spices with green chili,onion n coriander leaves.
Make a batter adding water to this.
Heat oil and make small pakoda n deep fry this.
When pakoda turns golden color add this to the curd mixture n boil it for 5 min.
Garnish with coriander leaves n red chili flakes…
