
Long Beans with Shallots
This one i have tasted while visited Sri-Lanka…its little spicy but u can reduce it…Srilankan food is lil spicy I can say more spicy for me…
Ingredients
1 bunch long beans
12-15 shallots or small onions.
8-10 curry leaves
2 tsp red chili flakes
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp oil
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
Procedure
Cut from both ends of long beans n cut into 2 inch length wise.
Now para boil it with salt and water for 5 min.
Now heat oil,add mustard seeds,when it start crackle add cumin seeds.
Now add shallots,curry leaves n saute for 3 min.
Add the red chili flakes n mix it.
Drain the excess water from the veggie n add this to the above masala.
Make the flame high n stir for 2-4 min.
Serve hot with rice…
