Generally I prefer the recipes which can be quickly prepared with less ingredients…and healthy too
In this way you can prepare a number of varities in less span of time period
Today morning only I prepared this..and when hubby dear went office my video recording started for the recipe…
This one you can serve as a side dish…personally its my husband’s one of favourite dish…whenever I prepare this he will have it three times a day that is during breakfast,lunch and dinner ha ha ha
When I was clicking the photos my three year old son was eager to have this…he just took a little with his tiny hand and have it happily…waiting eagerly when photo clicking will be over
Now enough of this story…straight forward come to recipe part

Serving Persons 4
2 fresh whole sweet corn
3 green chili slitted
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp udad daal
2 strings of curry leaves
1 pinch of asafoetida
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
2 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp of desi ghee
Salt to taste
First remove the outer cover from the sweet corn kernel and discard the hairs.
Then hold it vertically straight and place on the kitchen board,using a sharp knife remove the corn kernels from pod and set it aside.
Heat desi ghee and add mustard seeds, udad daal and asafoetidae to this.
When mustard seeds start crackle add curry leaves,green chili.
Now add the corn with salt and turmeric powder and mix well.
Cook this in low flame for 5 to 6 min,covring the lid.
After 5 min,remove the lid,sauté this and again cook it for 2 min more.
Now add coriander leaves,mix well.
Add lemon juice and mix it,switch off flame.
You can use frozen corns also if fresh sweet corn not available.
If you have corn pod with out covering,try to use with in two days otherwise it will dry up and won’t taste juicy.
You can remove the sweet corn without using knife also,peel with hands.
Add lemon juice and switch off flame,otherwise it is bitter in taste.
You can use mustard oil,butter also instead of desi ghee…
