In pune i had this first time Maharastrian dish…yummy

1 cup missal

2 medium onion chopped

8-10 curry leaves

grated coconut

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp garam masala(or goda masala)

10-12 peanuts

2 tsp oil

1/2 tsp cumin  seeds

water as per requirement

salt to taste


Soak missal over night.Then remove extra water and in a muslin cloth cover it at least for 1 day n night full to be sprouted.

Next day morning sprouted missal is ready.Pressure cook it with salt for 1 siti.

Now heat oil,fry the peanuts.Then remove it n keep aside.

Now add cumin seeds n curry leaves.

When cumin seeds start crackle add chopped onion with pinch of salt.

saute it till onion become transluscent.

Now add all the spices n mix well.

Now add water n boil it.

When water start boiling add sprouted missal to this n boil for 5 min.

Now add salt and fried peanuts to this.

Garnish with grated coconut ,have with paw…
