muruku(made from rice)
My rice flour stock over n my daughter want something snacky items so that day i used rice instead of rice flour…my mom’s idea
1 cup raw rice
besan required to make the dough
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp black salt
1 tsp seasme seeds
1/2 tsp carom seeds
1/2 tsp cumin powder
salt to taste
1 tsp oil(optional)
oil for deep fry
Soak rice for 3 hours.Grind it to a smooth thick paste.
Add all spices with besan to this.The amount of besan is depending upon the thickness of rice batter.
Mix it properly n make a medium soft dough.Deep fry oil.
Then fill the dough inside muruku maker n seal it as shown in pic.
Now press it in muruku shape n deep fry till golden color in medium flame.
Serve as a evening snack with tea.
