Navratri  Season going on…so one navratri recipe here. So today we prepare Aloo tikki in Navratri Style.Actually friends I am not getting sendha namak in Indian grocery stores,so without this any savoury recipe for navratri not possible. So one of my friend Shilpi told me to upload navratri recipe, that time I told its not available. And she told she has,I am so happy to hear this. But when I saw packet I got to know its there in stores, but due to some confusion I dint go for it,later it got cleared. Thanks shilpi dear for quick help.

This one I have prepared for one of my friends farewell party during navratri. So one of my frinds husband he is having navratri food and what I prepaed for starter its not related to navratri. So I pppreapred thiiis aloo tikki for him only, and all want that one onlyyy. So I thought this navratri I made this aloo tikki for my viewers…so lets get started.

Preparation Time 10 min
Cooking Time 10 min
Serving Persons 4

3 medium boiled potatoes

(peeled n grated)

1/4 cup dry roasted peanuts n crushed to coarse

1/2 cup sabudana powder

3 green chili chopped

1 inch ginger grated

1 tsp cumin powder

1/2 tsp black pepper powder

2 tbsp copped ocriander leaves

1 tbsp ghee
3 tbsp peanut oil

Sendha Namak or Rock Salt to taste

Add all ingredients to gratd boiled potatoes except ghee and peanut oil.
Now mix these well.
Grease hand with oil and take big lemon size portion and make dumpling.
Flatten it  and keep on a plate.
Make the rest potato mixture int his way.
Heat ghee nad peanut oil for shallow frying the tikkis.
Place the tikkis on hot tav aone by onnne   and shallowfry till it turns ointo golden colour from both sides.
After osme time, when one side is little crispy and golden colour, turn it and shallowfry it from other side.
Serve  hot and enjoy your Navratri Festival…

As here vrat atta not available so I have used sabudana powder  for binding…instead of cornflour or rice flour.
We use sabudana for fasting so I just grind the sabudana to powder form and use.
I have used dry roasted coarse peanuts to give a bite to the tikkis.
You can deep fry the tikkis also, but by shallow frying it is more healthy.
I have used ghee to  make it more flavourful and used peanut oil as I have used peanuts so thought to use peanut oil for shallow frying.
Before making aloo tikki just grease the hands with oil so that tikkis are not stick to hand.
Make tikki little thin so that it will remain crispy for longer time period.
