Orange Cake I prepared on our marriage anniversary…I wanna bake cake but in simple way no icing  no design just simple but full of flavours.Once hubby dear told me he tasted orange cake and it is awesome so thought why not give a try on this cake…and believe me friends it came out awesome.It is eggless but so fluffy n spongy.So lets get started

Preheat Time 10 min
Baking Time 20 to 25 min
Serving Persons 4 to 6

Ingredients Required

1 n ½ cups APF or maida
1 cup powdered sugar
 1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
¾ cup orange juice
½ cup milk
¼ cup oil
¾ tbsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla essence
Oil to apply on butter paper and cake mould 

First take all the dry ingredients in a siever and sieve it .
This is a important point…by sieving we can remove any rough particles.
And in this way all dry ingredients mixed properly so that it helps the cake to rise.
After sieving if you find any big chunks then press it with hands and sieve it.
Finally when you see any rough particles justdiscard it.
Now our dry flour is completely smooth.
Take a wide bowl take oil,milk.
Whisk it properly for atleast 3 to 5 min,so that milk is well mixed with oil.
It is also an important point…it gives the same texture of egg as we are making eggless cake.
Next goes the orange juice and whisk it well with milk n oil mixture.
Now add vinegar and vanilla essence and mix it well.
Add half of dry flour with cut and fold method,in this way air bubbles produced to help the cake to fluffy.
Don’t add full dry flour at a time,otherwise it is not mixed properly.
Menawhile preheat the otg in baking mode for 10 min at 200 degree.
Now grease the baking mould with oil on surface and on all sides also…
Apply oil on butter paper.
Then place the greased butter paper on this.
Pour the cake batter  into the mould.
Then tap it so that if there is any air bubble it gone.
Now bake at 200 degree for 20 min.
Insert a toothpick to check wheather it is properly baked or not,if it comes out clean then baking is done.
Take out from otg and place on a cooling rack.
When It is cooled down little,demould it.
Enjoy your orange cake that to eggless.


By adding curd it is more songy and fluffy and by adding milk it is more rich in texture.
When I prepared this last time I added milk only as curd is over.
You can use chopped dryfruits as per of your choice …just coat the dryfruits with flour and dust it.
Then add into the ckae batter int his way it will not rest on bottome…equlally distributed inside the cake.
Keep an eye on your oven as oven to oven temperature varies and according to that timing also.
Baking mode means both rods are on so always cakes a re baked in baking mode to get heat from both sides.
When we did the pizza we just melting pizza then we use grilling mode means the upper rod is heated.
This one I used when I want a crust in my cakes also.
If using aluminium moulds,use butter paper to demould it easily.
Make sure coat the mould on surface and all sides with oil as when cake is baked it rises and easy to demould.
Make sure the butter paper is of equal size of mould so that it is perfectly fitted inside the mould.
If you don’t have butter paper just grease the mould and dust dry flour…it also works fine.
If you are using silicon mould,no need to use butter paper.
