As the pakudi goes inside the curry and further cooked to absorb the masala so I feel no need to fry this.

Once I prepared this and all love this…itdoes not feel like it is not fried or it is steamed…so lets get started

But if you want the fried version that is the regular way of making pakudi…I provide the link below.

I have already prepared the aloo curry also like our Odia Style aloo dum…so that video link also I provide below

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iSoqgEurOfU

Preparation Time 10 min
Cooking time 15 min
Serving Persons 4

Ingredients

1 cup besan
¼ tsp turmeric powder
2 green chili chopped
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
a pinch

of baking soda
Salt to taste
Water for steaming pakoda
Aloo Curry(Alu Tarkari)

Procedure

Make the batter of pakudi…
Add all dry ingredients to besna and add little water to make a thick paste first.
In this way it has no lumps.
Now add water little by little and make a semi thick abtter.
Meanwhile boil water for cooking the pakudi.
Make small dumplings and pour into boiling water one by one…after osme time due to addition of baking soda the pakudi is light and starts floating.
Turn in between the pakudis so that all pakudis are cooked from inside also.
Then add this boiling water to the aloo curry…as my curry is little thick I have to make it thin.
Boil it and add all the steamed pakudis to the gravy.
I made some fried pakudis alis so I added those one also.
Let it cook for some time so that all pakudis absorb the masala and gravy also.

Finally I have added salt, garma masala, red chili powder and chopped coriander rleaves to balance the favour as added water.
Serve hot…enjoy your evening.

Notes

For healthy version I have steamed or cooked the pakoda in boiing water.
As it directly goes to the curry and further cooked so that it absorbs the all masala so in this way we can make it healthy.
But if you want to fry this…you can add onion n other veggies also to the batter and make pakudi.
As I am cooking the pakudi in boiling water I make it small…for better result.
You can avoid green chili if making for kids.
By adding soda the oakudi are fluffy and light.
You can make pakudi in appe pan also with less oil.
