
Palanga Saaga(Palak ki Saag)
One more dish from Odissa…here in Jakarta we are getting one leafy vegetable called horenzo which is more like palak of India…
Ingredients
2bunch of palak
1 small onion chopped
1 small tomatoe chopped
1/4 cup pumpkin chopped
salt to taste
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp udad dal
1 red chili whole
1 pinch hing
1 big clove of garlic chopped
6-8 udad dal badis crushed(optional)
Procedure
Remove the leaves from the stem n chop it.
Now in a bowl take little water,chopped onion,tomato,pumpkin n palak,boil it till all vegiies n palak become tender.Now add salt…(coz palak reduce the quantity after boiled)
Now in another pan heat oil,add crushed vadis n fry it till golden.
Now add mustard seeds,when it start crackle add red chili,udad dal n chopped garlic.Saute for 2 min till garlic turns golden.
Now add this tadka to palak.
Your palak saag is ready to serve….
