Preparation Time 10 min
Frying Time 5 min
Serving Persons 3 to 4
2 large boiled potaotes peeled and grated
2 tbsp corn flour
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry and grease
Take the grated boiled potato, bread crumb, cornflour and salt.
Mix it well and make a smooth and soft dough.
Keep in the freeze for 10 min to set.
Now grease the floor and rolling pin with oil.
Take big dumpling and roll with light hand.
I have taken a chopstick to make the eyes and spoon to make the lips.
Remove the extra potato mixture and in this way make the rest smiley.
Meanwhile heat oil for deep frying.
Put one by one smiley in hot oil and in low flame deep fry till it turns to golden brown colour.
Meanwhile turn it from both sides so that it is evenly fried.
Remove to an absorbent paper so that excess oil can be drained out.
Serve hot with ketchup…
Try to boil the potatoes one day before so that it is easy to peel and has less moisture.
Otherwise it is more sticky if boiled instant.
Keep the potato mixture for 10 min inside the freeze so that it has less moisture.
Use straw, toothpick or pen to make eyes.
Grease the floor and rolling pin with oil so that it si easier to roll and the excess potato mixture can be easily removed.
Put a small amout of potato mixture to check whether the oil is properly hot or not.
Grate the potatoes instead of mashing in this way it is remain smooth.
I have made different expression to make kids more exciting.
