Puff Pastry a popular snack item in India…after coming to Jakarta we miss this,but when i made “Paneer Spiral” with that sheets i think to make puff pastry from that and it reminds us the same Indian taste
For stuffing u can make any variety..aloo stuffing,simple onion-cabbage stuffing,chicken also…
For one sheet stuffing quantity
1 medium potato boiled n mashed
1 small onion chopped
2 green chili chopped
1/8 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp cumin podwer
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/8 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp oil
chopped coriander leaves
salt to taste
Take out the puff pastry sheet from freezer section before 20 min.
Mean while, heat oil. Add cumin seeds.
When it start splutter,add chopped onion n green chili.
When onion turns golden color,add all spices with mashed potato.
Now add coriander leaves n salt,mix well.Make it cool down.
Now take a puff pastry sheet n cut into three equal parts.
Now cut each part to again three parts,so in one sheet u can make 9 puffs.
Now fill 1 spoon of stuff in each part and make a shape as you wish.
I have also done triangle n rectangle shapes.
Now preheat oven for 5 min.Keep all puff pastries in the oven tray.
Bake it till golden color.Remove this n keep on a cooling rack.
Serve with sauce…
