3:06 – see how crisp it is
Preparation Time 10 min
Cooking Time 3 to 5 min per dosa
Serving Persons 4
1 cup sooji rava
1 cup rice flour
1/4 cup maida or all purpose flour
2 tbsp curd
1/4 tsp carom seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
3 green chili slitted
12-15 curry leaves
3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
a pinch of asafoetida
6 cups of water
Salt to taste
1/2 cup of chopped spring onion
3 medium onions sliced
OIL to prepare dosa
In a big vessel add sooji, maida n rice flour.
To this add all spice mixture and add the water.
Mix this well and keep as it is for 1 hour for more crispy dosa.
Heat tava n spread 1 tsp oil.
Spread onion n spring onion all over tava.
In high flame take a big spoon of batter and pour it in clockwise direction starting from the edge of tava and covering the center part.(watch the video for detail and elaborated way)
Pour the batter evenly.
After sometime it turns to little golden colour and leaves the edge of tava.
Now make the flame low n keep for 1 min
carefully insert the thin spatula and remove the super crispy rava dosa from the tava.
Have this with any pickle or chutney…
If the batter is kept atleast for 1 hour the rava absorbs all the spice mixture well and dosa turns out super crispy.
And spread the onion and spring onion on tava before pouring the batter to get a caramelized and crispy flavour of onion.
