This one so delicious n healthy with lots of veggie and roasted flavour of papad…wat you need extra. This rice papad I prepared in home which I learnt from my sweet mom, I prepare this same way of khichiya papad chaat…but that papad is usually prepared with rice flour and this I prepared with rice. As I don’t have khichiy papad so thought why not try with the homemade rice papad.This recipe I watche din a street food channel Aamchi Mumbai…so lets get started
Preparation Time 10 min
Coking Time 1 min ( roast one rice papad)
Serving Persons 4
Ingredients
5-6 rice papad
1 med onion chopped
1 med tomato chopped
¼ cup chopped cucumber
2 tbsp chopped cabbage
1 tbsp chopped green capsicum
1 tbsp chopped yellow capsicum
2 tbsp grated beetroot
1 tbsp grated beetroot
2 green chili chopped(discard the seeds)
1 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp sev
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp oil
Procedure
Roast the papad in open flame.
Roast in low flame only so that it is evenly roasted from all parts.
In this way roast the rest papads.
Keep all papads on a plate and crush it so that it breaks into small pieces.
Now pour some oil all over this.
On this sprinkle chopped onion, topped with chopped tomatoes.
Then next sprinkle chopped cucumber, two colour capsicum and then grated carrot.
Now on this sprinkle chopped cabbage, grated beetroot.
On this pour green chutney then goes in tamarind chutney.
Now sprinkle salt and chaat masala.
Now for crunchyness sprinkle lots of sev on it,squeeze some lemon juice for tngy flavour.
Finally sprinkle some fresh coriander leaves…
I add the leftover vveggie again on this to make it more colorful…
Serve it immediately and enjoy your evening…
Notes
You can add pomegranate,radish…
The rice papad I have, is small in size, so I roasted 4 to 5 papads for this recipe…
I discard the seeds of green chili to reduce the spiceness.
I add little water to both chutneys so that it is easy to pour on papads.
