Simba-Rai(Broad-beans with mustard paste)

In most dishes mustard oil,mustard paste,panch-phoran used to enhance the flavor
This one also called as besara in odiya….
When i got this in Jakarta i just surprised n very happy also gradually some vegetables of India we r getting here….
3 tsp mustard
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 red chili
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp mustard oil
1 red chili
1/2 tsp pancha-phoran
6-7 curry leaves
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 medium tomato chopped
100 gm broad beans
water to make gravy
salt to taste
First remove the laces of broad beans by plucking little from both ends shown in pic. Then make into two pieces. u dint believe this is dome by sarthika, her holidays was going on so she was helping me in kitchen work..
Now take water n add salt to this,boil it.
Add the broad beans into this n boil for 5min so that it becomes tender.
Make the rai or besara paste using mustard,cumin seeds,red chili n garlic cloves…add little little water. U can increase the quantity of paste n keep for future use also.
Now heat oil in a pan, add pancha-phoran,red chili n curry leaves.
When mustard start crackle add tomatoes to this n stir it properly so that tomatoes completely mashed. Now add turmeric powder n paste , stir for 2-3 min.
U can smell n feel the aroama,add little little water in between.
Now add the boiled broad-beans to this. stir for 2 min.
Serve with rice n dal.
