0:38 what are the masala I have used for this
3:02 how the masala is well coated with idlis
Now coming to recipe part
1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
Add chopped green chili and roast it little bit so that its spicyness reduced but flavor retained.
Now add sambaar powder, make the flame low otherwise it get burnt.
Saute it for 30 sec, then add chopped coriander leaves.
Saute it for 15 sec, then add chopped onion and saute it till it becomes transluscent.
Add water to it little by little so that onion is properly cooked.
Now place the mini idlis on it and sprinkle 1 tbspwater so that idlis are little moist and absorb the masala properly.
After some time flip all idlis a nd roast it from other sides.
Believe me its a wonderful and healthy starter.
Generally only butter or ghee is used only and in large portion.
But for healthy propspect I have replaced with oil and added water so that onions are properly cooked.
I have used mini idlis so tht in one bite iwe can have it…but if normal idlis also can be used…If you want you can cut the idlis into 4 equal portions.
Initially when I prepared these I have used butter ,gun powder…so many variations You can do…add chopped capsicum, tomatoes also…
