
Tomato Dal
One more dish from Odissa simple n yummy…
Ingredients
1 cup tuar dal
2 medium tomatoes chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2-3 drops of oil
salt to taste
water to make gravy
chopped coriander leaves
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/4 tsp cumin seeds
1 red chili whole
Procedure
Soak the dal for 30 min.
Pressure cook it adding water,salt,turmeric powder n 2-3 drops of oil up to 3 sitis. Mash the boiled dal properly.
Then heat oil,add mustard seeds n whole red chili broken.
When mustard seeds start crackle add cumin seeds,now add this tadka to dal.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves,serve with rice n sabji…
