Hi friends slowly slowly trying my hands in non-veg dishes…transfer from my hubby hand to me…
1 cup basmati rice
2 cups water
1/4 cup warm milk added with pinch of saffron
200 gm chicken pieces
2 medium onion chopped
2 medium tomato chopped
4 tsp ginger-garlic paste
4 green chili chopped
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp chicken masala
1 tsp red chili powder
1 cup of chopped beans,carrot,cauliflower n capsicum
1/4 cup chopped mint n coriander leaves
1 cup sliced onion n deep fried
2 tbsp oil
salt to taste
chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
Marinate chkicken pieces with turmeric powder,red chili powder n chicken masala for 20 min.
Now heat 1 tbsp oil,add 1 medium onion chopped with salt.
When it turns pinkish color,add 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste,2 green chili chopped with chopped tomatoes,saute for 5 min.
When tomatoes completely mixed with onion,add marinated chicken,mix well.
Add little water n keep in low flame for 15 min.
Meanwhile soak rice with water for 15 min.
Now heat 1 tbsp oil,add rest chopped onion with pinch of salt.
When onion turns translucent add rest ginger-garlic paste n chopped green chili.
Now add the soaked rice n saute for 30 sec.
Add water n salt, make flame high.When water start boiling make flame low.
When rice half done,remove half of rice n keep chicken pieces with gravy.
Now keep rest rice n rest chicken pieces , now add all veggies,saffron milk,1/2 cup fried onion , chopped mint-coriander leaves.
In this way u can get layer by layer rice n chicken…u can increase the layers depending upon rice n chicken quantity.
Garnish with rest fried onion n chopped coriander leaves.
