Papdi itself a favourite snax for all age groups specially for kids.

My daughter’s favourite snax item papdi with curd.


2 cups maida

1 tsp black cumin(kala jeera)

1 tbsp oil

1 tsp oil

1/2 tsp black salt

salt to taste

water to needed to make dough

maida for dusting

cutter for making papdi

oil for deep frying


Take all dry ingredients , add oil.

Mix it properly.

Now add little little water and make the dough.

The dough should be little tight. Rest the dough for 15 min.

Now make the balls and dust with little maida flour.

Now roll it like roti . Then use a fork and punch it all over the maida sheet.

Reason is when u fry this it will not puff up and dont soak oil so much.

Now make a cutter and make circles.

Heat oil and fry all papdis in medium low flame.

When it turns to golden colour take out in a tissue paper to absorb excess oil.

Sprinkle some black salt and keep in a air tight container.
