Today is Navratri first day so decided to upload some fasting recipe…
1 cup sabudana(medium size)
1/2 cup peanuts
5 green chili chopped
1/4 cup boiled potato cubes
12-15 curry leaves
2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
For making sabudana khichdi the most imp thing is soaking of sabudana.
If it is soaked much time its more soggy n if it is soaked for less time its hard…
First rinse the sabudana for 2-3 times so that extra startch from the sabudana removed.
Now soak this with little more water for 30 min.
Remove all the water after 30 min n soak this at least for 8 hours.
In between sprinkle some after over this so that it do not be so dry.U can keep this soaked sabudana in freeze and make khichdi after 3-4 days also.
Dry roast peanut n peel it .Grind to rough powder.
Now heat oil,add cumin seeds n curry leaves.
When cumin seeds start splutter add boiled potato n saute for 2 min.
In a plate mix salt n dry roast peanut powder to soaked sabudana.
Add this to boiled potato mixture,stir for 2-3 min.
Cover it for 5 min in low flame.If want add lemon juice atlast.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves n serve this with peanut-curd chutney.
